PR and Marketing Assistant – Celtic & Co. Newquay


Salary – up to £20k depending on experience.
Celtic & Co. are looking for a talented PR and Marketing Assistant
You will support the marketing team by writing and scheduling press releases as well as writing inspiring web and social content. You will deal with all press enquiries, fulfilling call-ins and managing a gifting budget. You will be expected to help organise and attend press, trade and customer events. This is an exciting marketing role for someone starting out on their career that is motivated by working on a broad range of projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

·       Writing and scheduling press releases for national and regional press and fashion and industry magazines. Developing creative ways to tell our story with content that will inspire and inform journalists about the company with particular focus on raising awareness and understanding of our sustainable ethos.
·       Work with the Ecommerce team to create engaging content for the website and social media platforms
·       Support in the organisation of and attend consumer, trade and press events – particularly to support our 30th Birthday in 2020.
·       Fulfilling all press and celebrity call-ins – being the key contact for all journalists requests
·       Update the contact databases on a regular basis
·       Managing all press cuttings in terms of collation, presentation and distribution internally
·       Managing a gifting budget
·       Managing all internal communications of events and activities
·       Work with an external PR Agency to:
o   Develop and maintain relationships with key journalists and the media in the UK and US – with particular focus on our 30th year celebrations
·       Organise and manage photographic and brand asset library
·       Support the team as required to fulfil catalogue and digital marketing campaigns
Required experience or skills:

·       Relevant degree and ideally at least one year’s experience within a marketing role.
·       Excellent copywriting capability for developing press releases and creative content.
·       A business understanding of social media platforms
·       Proficient in Microsoft Office
