Seasonal Ushers for busy festive season!

The Theatre Royal Plymouth (TRP) is the largest and best attended regional producing theatre in the UK and the leading promoter of theatre in the South West. The Theatre offers a comprehensive range of entertainment throughout the year including musicals, plays, opera, ballet, contemporary dance, and modern play writing.

Vacancies have arisen in the Front of House team for Ushers to work on a seasonal basis within the current team, to cover our busy festive period of Christmas and New Year. The Front of House team is a busy customer facing department in the theatre, providing a high standard of customer service with a focus on welcoming patrons during show times at TRP on Royal Parade.

The role involves greeting, checking tickets and selling programmes and ice creams. Ushers are in place to ensure the comfort and safety of patrons and the role has a strong focus on Health & Safety. Ushers are the first point of contact for any enquiries or issues so a strong knowledge of the productions and services of TRP will be developed.

Successful candidates will be able to provide availability for a range of shifts, Monday to Sundays. TRP’s seasonal programme of shows will determine the rota but you will need to be available for both matinee and evening performances across the week, with a minimum availability of 3 shows per week including two weekends every month. Your availability will influence your hours worked each week.
