For two hours per week at your convenience.

To run arts and crafts sessions for the residents. As part of Abbeyfield’s 60th Anniversary we have been running creative art sessions in our houses around many themes that enhance memories such as: The sea side, family, seasons, food an drink and love. It is also hoped that the art/craft sessions will be very beneficial in helping memory loss, cognition and motor function and that the art sessions carry on beyond this project. This is a great opportunity for an energetic, creative person to work along side staff, residents and other volunteers to create something truly memorable.

We are also looking for volunteers to share any craft or art skill they wish to share. So if you have skill. Can, knit, crochet, paint, sculpt, make origami, create beautiful cards, enjoy making of any kind and would like to share your talents with others, we would like to hear from you.

Do you want to improve the lives of older people?

This role will involves organising interesting arts and crafts activities for the residents. You will also support and help the residents with the activities, where required.
Within this role you will be volunteering at a supported living home.

This role may require an Enhanced Adult Workforce DBS check.
This is an opportunity for you to share an activity you love while knowing you are making a real difference to the lives of older people.
