Freelance opportunity - animation video for a music project
Overview
Video is an intro for an 80s Band and will be displayed on a 2m x 3m video wall behind the band.
We’re looking for something entertaining, funny and professional with or without sound as we can do this if needed.
We have the base idea below but are open to any suggestions.
The duration will be about 45 seconds and we would be looking for it in HD or 4K format as it will be displayed on a video wall 2m x 3m or 3m x 4m
The Video can be in 2d or 3d preferably
We have a gig on the 20th of December which we are using the Video wall so if it could be ready by then that would be good, I know that’s a tall order, but if not no worries. Budget to be agreed with the client.
Concept Story board
- Video starts with Tron like bikes racing on a grid doing right angle turns avoiding 80s iconic images or video clips (e.g. Dallas, Large Mobile phone, Falklands, thatcher etc) with near miss wind noses and motor bike revving engines
- The bikes start to approach the Berlin Wall and the lead bike takes drastic action to avoid a cheesy pic of Charles and Di and sort of swerves then crashes into the wall
- The wall explodes dramatically and the pieces of the wall rain down and start to rebuild the wall at the front of the screen in building block fashion, each piece/block being an iconic 80s image or video clip, which is rotating with other images of the 80s images,
- Once the wall is complete A DeLorean (car from back to the future) the crashes through the wall form behind scattering the picture bricks, driving to the left of the screen screeching and turning to finally park parallel to the middle of the screen
- The door opens and Doc says come-on Marty were going back to the 80s” the future of your evening depends on it. If it’s easier we don’t have to have the characters just the voice
- The door shuts and then the car speeds of the right of the screen snaking from side to side wheel spinning with smoking squealing tyres
- Then as the car speeds away and takes off in to the air with the two trails of light as per the film, then after the explosion at 88 Mph and the clearing smoke turns into the band logo in electric pink
