JOB TITLE: Technical Creative Coordinator
JOB PURPOSE: Arts Lab is a social enterprise that uses visual art to promote and in-
spire creative thinking and doing in every aspect of people’s lives. We connect artists with
communities, making art accessible to everyone. Championing collaboration, play and
curiosity, we encourage experimentation and creative thinking. The result is that we can
all feel more connected, valued and inspired to affect positive change in our own and
others’ lives. See www.arts-lab.co.uk. In response to the current crisis, we are adapting our programme to help combat levels of isolation and anxiety in some of our most vulnerable communities. Young Creatives - Sharing the Light is an Arts Lab Covid-19 response project supporting young visual artists pursuing careers in the arts. The project provides opportunities for 16-25 year old creatives each with their own specialism to maintain connection, wellbeing and professional aspiration both during the current crisis and beyond. The outcome of these activities will
be quantities of images of ‘still’ artwork created in a variety of mediums (paintings, illustrations, photography, sculpture), sound footage, text and moving image.
We are looking for someone with technical expertise to work alongside our team of young
creatives and curators to:
a) be on hand in a responsive, advisory capacity to deal with day-to-day technical
queries
b) build and embed into the Lab website, an online platform experience for people to en-
joy the work created throughout the Young Creatives - Sharing the Light programme.
This is an ideal role for someone who has an interest in the arts and creative industries,
has strong web design skills and enthusiasm to work in the not-for-profit sector with a
small start-up organisation.
