We want you to join us as our Education Officer to design and deliver innovative, creative, and inspiring learning resources so our young people can shout along with us and make the changes our ocean needs.
There’s no time to waste, it’s an exciting time of growth in our work with young audiences and as Education Officer you’ll be designing a diverse range of impactful resources for young people to work alongside school curricula, including lesson plans, worksheets, games, workshops and informative videos.
You’ll have an exceptional presentation style that appeals both in-person and online, and work with our teams to train colleagues and our volunteers to deliver resources with confidence.
What you’ll do

- Respond to our key campaigns or significant events (e.g. World Ocean Day) with bespoke resources
- Deliver in person and virtual sessions for young people
- Work with our teams to encourage and find opportunities for effective science communication
What you’ll need to show us
- Your experience of creating engaging and impactful learning resources for formal settings which reflect current best practice
- The journey of you creating engaging and impactful experiential learning opportunities in formal and informal settings
- Your knowledge and skills for delivering learning sessions for young people both in-person and online
- Detailed knowledge of the national curricula in the UK
- A passion for marine wildlife and conservation work
